So there was a new addition to the family today...

Our camera of 4-5 years finally decided to take an extended rest period this morning. So... trying to keep things in the digital realm is hard to do when your only camera is out for the count. So I was sent to the local electronics shop that claims it is the "best" place to "buy" gadgets and gizmos. After a quick search on the Internet, I made my choice and bought the camera seen here. Actually, I really like it so far and the price wasn't all that bad. All that to say... here are some more pics for your viewing pleasure.

This is a pic of Courtney and Granddaddy. They went on a walk today in between rain showers. Last night Courtney watched American Idol and explained the show to him. She is getting very good at predicting who is "safe" or not. It was a fun evening!

Courtney has also enjoyed her time with Grandma. They have been cooking breakfast every morning. Grandma has also been very helpful to Stacey and Cameron over the past few days. I'm sure Stacey has appreciated the extra set of hands.

While the girls were doing their things today. Grandaddy was able to drive with me to drop my truck off for timely set of new tires. It is reassuring to have that done before needing to drive Cameron around in the truck.

Lastly, I will post a few pics of Cameron, Stacey, and Courtney. He is a good eater and Courtney is enjoying helping as the BIG SISTER! She has been great! Night, Night to you all... I'm sure I will be up a few times before the sun rises again.

Eat or Go Home???

Well, we have been given the eviction notice that we have to be out by the end of the day. We have looked at the menu for today and will probably leave sometime this afternoon. Just like yesterday, our morning started with a vist from Kevin or OB/GYN. It is great that he is a friend of our from church. Today he had a few minutes to visit with Cameron, especially now that he had been cleaned up.

Kevin's only flaw is that he is an University of Alabama graduate. We take every opportunity to remind him that the only real University in Alabama is AUBURN.

So our last pic for now is Cameron in his AUBURN fan wear.

Day 1 Done

Well, we all made it through the first day. Cameron is pretty content eventhough he got a trim today. He is understandably irritable when we change the diaper, however once done he goes right back to sleep. Timing was great today. Murray Sanderson, our new Worship Minister at church, came by today and Cameron was awake with eyes open. This has been rare. He really likes sleeping... (I'm talking about Cameron not Murray). Murray stayed for a while and held Cameron while talking with us. It was a great visit! Murray and his family a have been a wonderful addition to the Otter Creek Church. They have been especially warm and kind to us. Murray ended his visit by praying over Cameron and thanking God for a safe delivery.
Courtney left this afternoon with Grandma to go to dance class. This is a favorite activity for Courtney recently. She did not want to miss class today. Stacey has been up and around today and is feeling really good. Though, she is still pretty happy laying in the bed and letting the world revolve around her. We are letting the hospital staff earn their pay this time. The nursery RN's have been especially attentive and have been very helpful. I caught them rocking Cameron earlier just because they are enjoying having him in the nursery.

Have a great evening! Don't forget AI is not on tonight with the presidential broadcast. So since you won't be watching TV, I expect several posts.

Day 1.1...

Big Sister and grandma are back now. So mommy decided it was time for me to post some more pics. Enjoy!

Day 1...

Everyone slept last night... (This vaguely reminds me of our early times with
Courtney) Ha!Ha! to those who wished evil thoughts of a terror baby upon us!
He is currently undergoing the procedure that no man speaks about. There will be NO pictures! Courtney and Grandma will be back soon so Courtney can introduce her new bro to those that stop by. We had a very nice visit from Uncle Puckett (Mike - the guy that hired me to work at FedEx Kinko's - (FedEx Kinko's is now FedEx Office...) Sorry, shameless plug during these economic times. He and his wife Val and (not so little anymore) son got to see Cameron just before his first bath.

We have received many calls and messages via email. It has been soooo much easier to get out information to the masses this time.

We will be posting today as we get new pictures. Jason, I promise I will hand the camera to someone else today. Thanks for the reminder though!

And then there were four....

A Big Sister has been created!

Courtney was sooooo excited to meet her brother. She was absolutely perfect with him. He was totally fixated on her while she was sitting next to him. I hope this is the start of a lovable relationship.

And the winning numbers are...

He's here!

Cameron arrived at 4:15p. We don't have official numbers yet, but he does seem to be a little longer and heavier than Courntey when she was born. All went well and he is bonding with mommy while the nurses are attending to other rooms on the floor. There are three other babies that are about to be born soon. So the nursery will be busy.

Thanks to all of our friends and family who have called and sent messages.

We are very blessed to have so many that care for our family.

We finally have dilation!

Let's see what we can muster up!

The waiting game...

If there is a pool going on about the time of delivery and 12:30 was your time... I'm sorry to inform that you did not win.

Not much going on here... Stacey is spending most of the time with Blackberry in hand reading and sending messages. If she would just focus...

More to come.

Mom says it is time for another update...

So, with the epidural in and many tubes and wires, we are just sittin' around waiting for the pip squeak to make an appearance.

Enjoy your day!

Technical Difficulties... NOT in my room...

I realized that my emails were not getting out... So, I did a little research a found a port that would work for email. All is well.

Stacey and I both slept for a little while. They are having to wait for our Dr. to arrive before starting the Pitocin. Apparently, a form was missing and only he can fill it out (in person).

Bye for now.

We are at the hospital!

We have checked into our suite at the Ritz-Carlton. It has very nice wood flooring and we have already been visited by several personal attendants. They all seem very nice.

We were pleasantly surprised that we had indeed reached 3cm and will not need any help to get started this evening. They will still be inducing in the morning around 4am with the help of, better living through chemistry, our friend Pitocin .

I will do my best to post as available.

Good night and good morning :-)
